The Trade Minister Really Made a Blunder Statement Regarding the Mall Entrance Requirements
During this pandemic, there were indeed many blunders made by several Jokowi cabinet ministers. But I'm still in the unconcerned stage. But this time for some reason I was so speechless that I didn't know what to say anymore?
The Minister of Trade, M Lutfi, stated that a negative PCR test and/or Antigen Swab was also a requirement to enter the mall. He said this during a visit to Kota Kasablanka Mall, South Jakarta. According to him, the use of PCR or Antigen Swab can convince mall managers that those who visit are healthy people.
"I used PCR before. So I've been vaccinated twice, using PCR and/or antigen. If you want to be free, you have to use antigen, so now the requirements are vaccines, and PCR and/or antigen can only enter the mall," said Lutfi .
So what is the vaccine for if you still have to worry about PCR or antigen? In fact, people get vaccinated for two reasons. First, to avoid the severe effects of Covid-19 infection. Second, so that everywhere can be facilitated.
The price of PCR is around Rp. 800 thousand. Who wants PCR just to enter the mall? For eating, shopping, etc., sometimes it doesn't even cost as much as PCR. Not to mention the hassle if you often go to the mall having to go back and forth to take care of PCR or antigen tests? Personally, I'm sorry, it's better not to go to the mall.
OK, use Antigen. Antigens are also quite pricey. If you go to the mall as a family, just multiply the price. Approximately how many people are willing to spend that kind of money to just go to the mall?
The mall has the advantage of being comfortable and air-conditioned. If you want to eat, why don't you go to the mall? There are other places too, right? Fast food, cafe, Japanese and Korean food, all in outlets other than malls. Many branches. A/C too. If you want to buy something, you can use it online, it's cheaper, sometimes free shipping.
If the minister likes to say PCR. Are all rich people going to the mall? Even funnier, he said if you don't want or object to doing an antigen test, then you don't have to go to the mall. People can shop at the people's market, there is no need for special conditions.
"If you don't want to, then you can go to the people's market. You don't need antigens, you don't need PCR, you don't need vaccines. Please go to the people's market. If you want to use AC, you have to spend money on antigens. So vaccination, PCR, and or Antigen. PCR can be two days, Antigen only one day, "he said.
Has the Covid-19 virus mutated and is wiser in choosing targets, where the virus prefers to go to the mall than to the market? Can't you check in the field if the market is much more crowded and crowded? No matter how strict the procedure, it certainly won't be like at the mall. Can the virus not spread in the market?
I hope this policy is cancelled, or if not just temporary. Too weird. Test all expensive.
And one more thing, what about the employees who work at the mall? They go to the mall every day, and according to the Minister of Trade, they should have at least an antigen test every day. If not, does that mean there is discrimination? But on the other hand, it's impossible to test every day, right? And if they just use a vaccine card, do visitors have to use additional test evidence? These policies collide with each other and make no sense.
What about ojol who accept orders for food/products at the mall. The daily income is not much, do you have to test too? What is this?
That's why it's so funny, a statement like this can be made by a minister.
If this is the case, right, it would be better if the mall was closed altogether, so that there would be no contagion at all. Or is there an impression that those who enter the mall are only for those who can afford it? If that's the case, then just get to the point, say that those who can't afford it, don't have to go to the mall. Even then, certainly not everyone can be stupid enough to want to enter the mall if the conditions are complicated like this.
What do you think?
