Ganjar Pranowo, the governor of Central Java INDONESIAN, is really being tested

The political year is still 3 years away. President Jokowi's term of office is still quite long. This second period is the end of the Jokowi period because later in the 2024 election year, you will not be able to run for President again. Although there were several pressures from several elements of society for Jokowi to have three terms. But the President immediately confirmed that he was not interested in three terms.
Political parties really take advantage of the moment when Jokowi can't run for President. Because as long as Jokowi can run for president, it is very difficult to find a figure, a national figure who is able to defeat him. Prabowo alone, who is Jokowi's strong opponent, was helpless in two consecutive knockouts.

Even now, Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno, who were previously strong opponents in the 2019 presidential election, have even become assistants to President Jokowi. Prabowo Subianto became Minister of Defense and Sandiaga Uno became Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.

For more than a year, Indonesia has been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, which until now has not been able to be tamed. Various regions in Indonesia, not only concentrated in Java, were affected by this virus outbreak. So that the government pays more attention not only to Java but also outside Java.

But despite the pandemic, political ripples still occur. Because political parties are starting to get ready for the 2024 General Election which is getting closer. They, especially the big parties, try to increase the electability of their champions, who are usually the General Chairperson or the person appointed by the General Chairperson.

Various billboards began to be installed even though they were shy. The Golkar Party put up a large billboard with a picture of their general chairman, Airlangga, and PDIP, which posted a photo of Puan Maharani.

PDIP received public attention because of its political steps. PDIP, which is a large party and is able to win the election for two consecutive times, is considered to have taken a high-risk step.

PDIP is known to have the best cadres who are considered to have the potential to become leaders, both at the district, provincial and state levels. It is evident that many PDIP cadres are capable of becoming popular leaders, such as Tri Risma as Mayor of Surabaya, Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo and Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

Even now, to face the 2024 presidential election, PDIP has a golden opportunity to get its best cadres to become the next President of the Republic of Indonesia. PDIP has the best cadre who has a great chance of becoming RI 1, namely Ganjar Pranowo.

Ganjar in the latest survey has a very high electability, even slowly being able to beat Prabowo Subianto's electability as the strongest presidential candidate after Jokowi.

But it turns out that PDIP took a bold and high-risk step. Ganjar Pranowo, who has a very high electability, just a little polish, has great potential to be the strongest candidate to face the upcoming Pilpre. But PDIP seems to have marginalized Ganjar Pranowo and chose someone else.

Currently, the billboards of Puan Maharani as the crown princess of the PDIP are scattered in various regions in Indonesia. It seems that Megawati wants her daughter to be more popular as a presidential candidate in 2024.

In fact, in various surveys, the electability of Ms. Puan is very small, still one digit below 5%. Ganjar began to come under pressure from the PDIP. Some time ago PDIP held a party consolidation in Central Java. But uniquely the host himself, namely Governor Ganjar Pranowo, was not invited. Of course this raises a big question mark. Is Ganjar being tested by PDIP or is he really being sidelined?

Recently, Ganjar got another tough test. Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo was reprimanded by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri. Ganjar was reprimanded about the floods that still hit a number of areas in Central Java.

The warning was expressed directly by Ganjar in the Sinking Jakarta Webinar with the ITB Alumni Association, Tuesday (10/8/2021). Ganjar said Megawati rebuked him directly.

This warning is a tough test for Ganjar. Because the public will see how Ganjar responds to Megawati's warning and how to solve the reprimand.

I think Ganjar has acted appropriately because he acknowledged the actual conditions on the ground. Ganjar admitted that several areas in Central Java had sunk. This condition, he said, occurred due to land subsidence.

As happened in Bedono Village in Sayung District, Demak. Ganjar explained that land subsidence caused damage to the houses of residents in Bedono Village, which incidentally is a coastal area. Even the PDIP politician revealed that in Brebes there is one area that has sunk and is now a mangrove forest.

This recognition is very appropriate to maintain his good name in society. So whether or not Ganjar has succeeded in tackling this flooded area, at least he has acknowledged that the possibility of drowning does indeed exist.
